THE GROUP
The first private
wine group in Italy

Argea was born in 2022 from the acquisition of Botter by private equity group Clessidra, and the subsequent entry of MGM Mondo del Vino and Zaccagnini, until the latest acquisition in 2025 of WinesU.
The Group integrates different realities into a common project founded on quality, development, and sustainability, which aims to involve the excellence of the Italian wine sector, their respective cultures, people, territories, and production techniques, while at the same time enhancing their identities and preserving them as an expression of the best tradition.
Argea was born with the ambition to be the accelerator of the Italian wine ecosystem in the world.
In accordance with this goal, the company in 2025 acquired WinesU, a historic U.S. importer.
Cleverly combining expertise in the production of DOC and DOCG wines and their marketing in international markets, Argea aims at the same time to be a promoter among producers and the people with whom it collaborates of a culture of sustainable development.
OBJECTIVES
Aggregation, Accessibility, Harmony.
Aggregate the excellence of Italian wine production to compete in international markets, create a reality that in size, structure and production capacity can grow the weight of Italian wine in the world, promoting its culture and enhancing its incredible variety.
Promoting environmental, economic and social sustainability in the area.
Supporting the ecological transition of the wine industry and ensuring an economically sustainable future driven by purpose and vision for the next generations.
Producing wines of high quality and balance, interpreting the evolving tastes of contemporary consumers while remaining rooted in tradition and upholding a steadfast commitment to continuous oenological research.
Aggregate, Promote, Supporting and Producing.
Those for us are the cornerstones for achieving each goal.
PLACES & WINERIES
Our places and wineries

CUVAGE (Piemonte)
Founded in 2011 in Acqui Terme (AL), Cuvage since its beginnings has focused on Piedmont's most iconic grape varieties, such as Nebbiolo, Chardonnay and Moscato, and has distinguished itself as the symbol of elegance in the world of bubbles.

RICOSSA (Piemonte)
Ricossa is the expression of a wine territory made of energy and passion: the Piedmont. Ricossa, born in the Asti area in the early 1900s, has its home in the heart of the Monferrato region, in Castel Boglione (AT), on an estate dedicated primarily to the cultivation of the Piedmont queen, Barbera, of which Ricossa gives a contemporary winemaking interpretation.

PODERI DAL NESPOLI (Romagna)
In the Bidente Valley, in the Apennines on the border with Tuscany overlooking the Riviera Romagnola, Poderi dal Nespoli is rooted in soils with excellent pedoclimatic characteristics for wine production.

ZACCAGNINI (Abruzzo)
Among the evocative hills of Bolognano, ruled by wise hands and the slowness of time, lies Cantina Zaccagnini — a winery that preserves and shares the history, traditions, and artistic heritage of an Abruzzo with timeless charm.

MONDODELVINO (Piemonte)
In the heart of Roero, among the Unesco World Heritage hills, we carry on a centuries-old tradition thanks to winemakers who skillfully blend the oldest practices with the most modern winemaking techniques.

BOTTER (Veneto)
A century of experience and hard work have given life to one of Italy's greatest wineries, technologically advanced and able to dialogue with winemakers from all over Italy.
