THE GROUP
The first private
wine group in Italy

Argea was established in 2022 following the acquisition of Botter by the private equity fund Clessidra, and the subsequent entry of Mondodelvino.
In March 2023, the Group expanded further by welcoming the wine heritage of Cantina Zaccagnini. It brings together diverse entities under a shared project based on quality, development, and sustainability, aiming to involve leading players in the Italian wine sector—along with their cultures, people, territories, and production techniques—while enhancing their identities and preserving them as expressions of the finest tradition.
Argea was born with the ambition to be the accelerator of the Italian wine ecosystem in the world.
OBJECTIVES
Aggregation, Accessibility, Harmony.
Aggregate the excellence of Italian wine production to compete in international markets, create a reality that in size, structure and production capacity can grow the weight of Italian wine in the world, promoting its culture and enhancing its incredible variety.
Promoting environmental, economic and social sustainability in the area.
Supporting the ecological transition of the wine industry and ensuring an economically sustainable future driven by purpose and vision for the next generations.
Producing wines of high quality and balance, interpreting the evolving tastes of contemporary consumers while remaining rooted in tradition and upholding a steadfast commitment to continuous oenological research.
Aggregate, Promote, Supporting and Producing.
Those for us are the cornerstones for achieving each goal.
PLACES & WINERIES
Our places and wineries

CUVAGE (Piemonte)
Located in Acqui Terme, its name comes from the combination of Cuvée and Perlage, the terms that most strongly define the iconic Metodo Classico, in which Cuvage finds its highest expression.

RICOSSA (Piemonte)
Ricossa is an expression of a wine region defined by energy and passion: Piedmont. In the heart of Monferrato, in Castel Boglione, it offers contemporary winemaking interpretations of native grape varieties.

PODERI DAL NESPOLI (Romagna)

ZACCAGNINI (Abruzzo)
Among the evocative hills of Bolognano, shaped by skilled hands and the slow passage of time, lies Cantina Zaccagnini. For half a century, the winery has preserved and passed down the history, traditions, and artistic heritage of an Abruzzo with timeless charm.

MONDODELVINO (Piemonte)
In the heart of the Roero, among the UNESCO World Heritage hills, a centuries-old tradition is carried on, skillfully blending ancient practices with modern winemaking techniques.

BOTTER (Veneto)
In Fossalta di Piave, a small town near Venice, the business of selling local wines in barrels and demijohns was born. A century of experience and hard work has led to the creation of one of the largest and most technologically advanced wineries in Italy.
